  • Susan Lucci showed off some absolutely ripped arms in an Instagram photo of her at the Daytime Emmy Awards.

  • The actress is a big fan of Pilates and getting her workouts done in the morning.

  • She also follows a Mediterranean diet and treats breakfast as her fuel for the day.

Susan Lucci was famously passed over for an Emmy Award for decades until she finally won one in 1999. Now, she's added a lifetime achievement award to her long list of accolades—and flashed her seriously strong arms while grabbing that trophy.

The All My Children alum, 76, shared a photo on Instagram of herself raising the Daytime Emmy Award high while working a strapless sparkly orange gown. Susan is absolutely glowing and her arms are chiseled.

“What a great honor!!! Lifting my Lifetime Achievement Emmy high!!!,” she wrote in the caption. People cheered her on in the comments. “Totally deserving 👏👏👏 🧡🔥 you're amazing and beautiful,” one wrote. “Well well deserved. Legend!! Congratulations and thank you for being the fabric of my childhood for decades ❤️,” another said.

So, how does Susan stay so toned? If it wasn't already abundantly clear from her chiseled arms, fitness is important to her. She’s been inspired to lead a healthy, active lifestyle by her mom, Jeanette, who was 104 when she passed away, she shared with Closer Weekly. “She was a registered nurse who believed in prevention,” she said.

So, Susan aims to exercise six days a week, she previously told Women’s Health in 2018. "I try to take one day off, because you're supposed to take a day off," she said. "But I’ll always do something, because I find my body craves it."

Workouts for the Devious Maids star usually happen early in the morning. “Then I know, no matter what happens for the rest of the day, I’ve done something good for myself,” she told WH.

Susan is a fan of Pilates, specifically, the Pilates Pro Chair, a special piece of equipment designed to target spots like your abs, thighs, and butt with Pilates moves. “I love my Pilates Pro Chair because it gives me cardio at the same time, but I also work out with a mat and a vinyl ball,” she told Closer Weekly. “I am looking for ways of stepping it up.”

Food-wise, Susan follows the Mediterranean diet, she told the outlet. And breakfast is "fuel" for her, she shared with Harper’s Bazaar when breaking down what she eats in a day.

So, that includes a cup of coffee along with Greek yogurt with organic pumpkin seeds and lingonberries or another type of berry.

Later, Susan wants to be “feeling good” for lunch, she told Harper's Bazaar. So, she usually eats a roasted turkey and avocado sandwich with beefsteak tomatoes as the base instead of bread. She tops all of that off with fresh mango, champagne vinegar, olive oil, and salt and pepper.

For dinner, Susan will often wrap up the evening with a light salad, salmon, broccoli, and steamed carrots. And there might even be Champagne. “It's always good to have a little bubbly,” she said. I couldn't agree more.
