This season of Survivor featured four returning players, a bunch of stunning blindsides, and a couple of extremely chaotic tribals; the drama of Edge of Extinction even led two castaways to quit halfway through the season. But all these twists and turns are just leading up to the finale of season 38, where the jury will vote for one remaining contestant to become Sole Survivor.

You don't want to miss the big finale of Survivor: Edge of Extinction! Get ready to set your DVRs in advance, because here's everything you need to know about 2019's next Survivor finale.

When is the 2019 Survivor: Edge of Extinction finale?

The Survivor: Edge of Extinction finale will air on Wednesday, May 15 at 8 p.m. on CBS. The finale will follow the three-hour format of previous finales, including the final immunity challenge, the final three breakfast feast, the final tribal council, and the cast reunion after the Sole Survivor is announced.

But since this season also includes the Edge of Extinction twist, we'll also have a challenge where someone that is currently on Extinction will be able to re-enter the game, while the rest of the previously eliminated castaways will finally and officially join the jury and head to Ponderosa.

The game has been pretty and up down since the beginning, and fans have been betting on they think will be the winner of the season. Before Edge of Extinction aired, host Jeff Probst was asked by Entertainment Weekly to predict a winner.

He answered, "I'm going to go out on a limb here because I feel it: Kelley Wentworth. She's who I would align with, the very first person. I just think Kelley has it all, and she's got just enough physical skills, great social skills, very aggressive in terms of finding idols, and she can lie like crazy. I think it's her time. And I think she's going to have a good alliance early. And I think it'll last."

Of course, Wentworth is currently on the Edge of Extinction after being voted out with an idol in her pocket, so she'd have to fight her way back into the competition for Probst's prediction to come true.
