'Survivor 46' Premiere Ends with a Superfan Crash and Burn

Survivor came back in a big way for its 46th season. Jeff Probst welcomed in the new castaways with a bold statement: "Right now, there's at least one of you that cannot win." The players didn't let that get them down, as they spent the first three days making friends, hunting for idols, and hauling 500-pound geckos. But for one person, that rang incredibly true, as they spent the entirety of the two hours on a downward slope of mistakes.

Who got voted off on Survivor 46 tonight?

David Jelinsky

From the minute he chose to go by his last name, David Jelinsky manifested himself as a Survivor legend. Unfortunately, he got what he wished for, as his three days on the island was a culmination of legendarily bad gameplay. The youngest member of the cast, Jelinsky eagerly stepped up for everything thrown his way, including the Sweat task and going on the journey. But every step up would involve him stepping back, between him quitting the Sweat task halfway through after deeming it impossible and him folding in a game of deceit to lose his vote with the potential of gaining social capital. Despite not having a voice, Jelinsky was confident his alliance of four would carry the day. But the several (not seven) mistakes Jelinsky had made caught up with him, causing the slot machine salesman to cash out empty-handed.

Were any advantages found or played on Survivor 46 tonight?

Yes! Tiffany found the first Beware Advantage of the season. After a series of tasks that included losing an Immunity Challenge and deciphering an encrypted code, she was able to successfully grab her idol and prevent losing her vote for her first Tribal Council. Additionally, Maria and Tevin both went on the journey and netted extra votes in the "Torch, Vote, Skull" game of chance and deception.
