Survey Reveals Women in This State Are the Most Body-Confident

The body-positivity movement is in full force—it seems like everyone has jumped on the bandwagon to forbid photoshopping and embrace the natural figures we're all born with, no matter what size they are.

To further investigate this movement, lingerie and swimwear e-tailer Bare Necessities conducted a survey of 2,800 women and men, asking them to rate their body confidence levels out of 10, with 1 being the least confident and 10 being extremely confident. Surprisingly, women only rated themselves a 5.7 on average, and men, 6.4. Where's the love?

The survey also revealed how body confidence compares across the country. Maine was the most confident about their figures with an average rating of 7.5, whereas Michigan reported the lowest ratings, averaging 5.1. Another surprising stat: Hawaii has America's most body-confident women (8.5), but least body-confident men (4.1). Never would have guessed that one.
