Surprise! Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas Got Married in Las Vegas

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas pulled off a Game of Thrones–worthy twist last night: They got married in Las Vegas after the Billboard Music Awards.

That's right, the couple hit up the Billboard Music Awards and then headed to the Chapel L'Amour inside A Little White Wedding Chapel. People reports that Jonas and Turner applied for a marriage license earlier in the day, and another source tells the magazine that the wedding was indeed legit. (Fun fact: Celebrities like Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, Britney Spears, Michael Jordan, and Frank Sinatra and Mia Farrow all got married at the same venue.)

The ceremony was captured on Diplo's Instagram Stories and Live Feed, where you can see Jonas, along with brothers Nick and Kevin, waiting for Turner to walk down the aisle. The actress wore a white silk top and pants, along with a white veil, as Dan + Shay played their song "Speechless."

The couple held hands during the ceremony while the Elvis-impersonator-cum-officiant asked them to recite their vows. “I promise you, I will never leave you. I will love and trust you, all the days of my life,” they said. “In sickness and in health…forever and ever.” As for the rings, it looks as though Turner and Jonas exchanged candy Ring Pops before "Elvis" said, "Fine folks, family…in the power vested in me, it is my pleasure to pronounce you two husband and wife. You may kiss that bride!” The couple then danced around with guests to "Viva Las Vegas."

From Diplo's live video, it seems Turner's fellow "J Sisters," and now official sisters-in-law—Priyanka Chopra and Danielle Jonas—were seated in the front row. And you can catch a glimpse of Khalid in the stream.

Turner and Jonas started dating in 2016 and got engaged the following year. The couple has previously said they planned to get married this summer, and we wouldn't be surprised if that (likely larger) celebration still happens. “We’re going to have a summer wedding, which I’m looking forward to,” Jonas said on The Late Late Show with James Corden recently. “It’s going to be a lot of fun.” They wouldn't be the first in the family to have more than one ceremony.
