Surprise—Glossier launched Milky Oil, a makeup remover inspired by its popular cleanser

It’s been over three years since Glossier launched its now widely beloved cleanser, Milky Jelly. Since then, everyone from Glossier superfans to skeptics of Instagram’s most famous beauty brand has fallen head over heels with the makeup removing cleanser featuring a unique jelly texture.

Now, the brand is releasing Milky Oil, an oil version of the famous jelly cleanser. Launching today, February 19th, Milky Oil is a powerful makeup remover that the brand says “combines the gentle cleansing properties of micellar water and the power of makeup-erasing oil to melt away long-wearing and waterproof makeup gently, easily, and efficiently.”

When you shake the bottle, the micelles mix together with the conditioning oil to create a silky texture that wipes away your makeup and simultaneously conditions your skin. In a statement, Glossier explained that when developing the formula, the brand wanted to maintain the qualities of Milky Jelly that fans love while creating a next-level makeup-removing product.

“The two products are meant to complement each other,” says the brand. “On long-wearing and waterproof makeup days use Milky Oil first to target the eyes and lips and follow with Milky Jelly Cleanser for a fresh, fuller face clean.”

Just a tiny bit of Glossier Milky Oil on a Q-tip can be used to fix a makeup mistake like botched liquid liner or to clean up the edges of your lipstick. You can get Milky Oil for only $12 at glossier.com now.
