Suri Cruise Stepped Out With Mom Katie Holmes & They’re Literally Doppelgangers

You know the old cliche of asking a teen if their mom is actually their older sister? It’s usually the cheesiest pickup line from the sleaziest character in a rom-com. But, embarrassingly enough, we found ourselves wondering the same thing when Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise recently went out to celebrate Holmes’ 45th birthday. She and her 17-year-old daughter are total doppelgangers.

This isn’t all that surprising. The two have been twins since Suri was a little girl. (Don’t believe us? Check out the photo below.) But they look more and more alike with every passing day. And so when the two stepped out in New York City looking oh-so-chic for the birthday celebrations and having the same long dark hair, big eyes, and strong cheekbones, we thought we were seeing double. The Dawson’s Creek alum and her daughter have recently worked together on movies together, with Suri often singing on the soundtrack. “She’s very, very talented. She said she would do it and she recorded it and I let her do her thing,” the proud mom told Yahoo! Entertainment last year.

Apparently Holmes wants to keep this trend going, telling Glamour she hopes Suri always does something on her films.

“I always ask her,” she said. “…It comes out of love for me to include someone who I love dearly. That’s how I like to work. I like to have that kind of feeling. It was very meaningful to me to have her there, because she’s my heart.”

The A-list celeb alum shares Suri with her ex-husband Tom Cruise. Suri and the Top Gun actor are reportedly estranged, but people think that might change when she becomes a legal adult. Former Scientologist and actress Leah Remini said she believes Cruise may try to get Suri to join the controversial church he belongs to.

“I’m sure his master plan is to wait until Suri gets older so that he can lure her into Scientology and away from her mother,” Remini said.

Suri turns 18 this coming April. While we don’t know if or when these predictions will come to fruition, the one thing we can confidently say is that come April, Suri will somehow look even more like her mom.
