Jack Freestone and Alana Blanchard are a certifiable surfing power couple.

Both are former top-tier competitors, one is an Aussie aerialist with one of the best frontside reverses in the game, the other is probably the most marketable asset to surf brands (and non-surf brands) across the industry. Put ‘em together, dream team.

Today, Alana and Jack have stepped away from their surfing careers, at least competitively, and instead, they're focused on raising their two boys, Banks and Koda.

And of course, they're teaching them to surf.

In a new clip, Alana featured the two boys sharing their first tandem wave together at Hanalei Pier in Kauai, the same spot she learned to surf when she was four years old.

Captioning the clip, Alana wrote:

“Koda almost didn’t stand up because he was laughing so hard. Felt pretty special watching them do this at the place I learned how to surf”

And while this may be the two toddlers first unassisted wave together, it’s not the first time they’ve been surfing with mom and dad.

In fact, the family surfs together frequently – like on a recent trip to Tavarua, during which they had a full Blanchard/Freestone family party wave.

Captioning that clip, Alana wrote:

“I can’t stop smiling watching these clips”

With parents like Alana and Jack, these kids got good genes. Future pro surfers? Swimwear influencers? Fitness vloggers? Maybe all the above.
