Surfer Snaked, Whacked in the Head by Surfboard (Clip)

The carnage clips never get old.

Chalk it up to schadenfreude, "the pleasure, joy, or self-satisfaction that comes from learning of or witnessing the troubles, failures, or humiliation of another."

In the old days, we had America’s Funniest Home Videos; now we have Kook of the Day.

And the latest from the curated channel of surfing mishaps is a banger…literally.

It shows a surfer, a longboarder, dropping in on a wave at an undisclosed spot. Minding his own business. But, pretty obviously with intention, the first surfer is snaked by another. A beginner. And the beginner doesn't quite make it into the wave, loses control, and subsequently flings their board into the first surfer’s face.

Head shot.

The clip is seamlessly dubbed with audio from the iconic, stoner surferwaapaah.

As always is the case with clips like this, the comments section was gold:

“The worst part is the dude strait up looked over and saw them…and still decided to try and get up.”

“Kid deserved it. 1. Spread leg paddling. 2. Purposely faded towards the guy. 3. Purposely tried to check spray the guy. 4. Mini soul arch hands up move. 5 bent down to try and pick up the guys board. Dork.”

“Happened to me 5 times at Malibu yesterday”

“A lot of fiber in his diet!”

As it turns out, one commenter saw the incident go down; and they chimed in to give a little context, explaining that everyone came out okay:

“i was there when he got hit. Kid was fine and they made up. Funny af tho”

A happy ending for all.
