Kelly Slater.

At nearly 52 years old, he's still the GOAT of professional surfing and holds his own against the new generation. He's won 11 world titles, launched luxury wave pools, and has surfed more perfect barrels than any other human on earth (probably).

He recently sat down with "Let's Poddy" host Benji Weatherley and opened up about a lot of stuff, including his all-time favorite career moment.

Let's Poddy posted the clip above over the weekend and captioned it:

"The goat is coming in hot! look out for his episode dropping Monday"

During the episode, the old friends cover everything from Slater's recent hip surgery to befriending Jimmy Buffett, and finally, the surfing moment that meant the most to him.

Towards the end, producer Annie Graziano asks Slater:

"Over the course of your career—because I think definitely in surfing you've had the longest professional career out of just about anybody—what's been your favorite moment? When you look back on it, which is the one that sticks out to you the most?"

Slater answers quickly:

"Winning Pipeline two years ago."

"That was pretty unbelievable," Weatherley says.

"That was the one that for me was most emotional and for so many people, even people I didn't know around the world."

"I think I had over a thousand messages from people that day. It was amazing, and like five days from my 50th birthday.

"It was 30 years since I won the first one at Pipeline and I hadn't won a contest in five years or something. Pipe has been my mecca forever."

The contest in question is the 2022 Billabong Pro Pipeline that he won 30 years after his first Pipe win in 1992. Before that, he hadn't won at Pipe since 2013, and his last CT win was in 2016. It's not surprising he cried in Seth Moniz's right after taking the win.
