Sur La Table, the beloved cookware brand that came from humble beginnings out west, is celebrating 50 years of stylish kitchenware in a big way. The trendsetting kitchen brand first swung open its doors back in 1972 within Seattle’s Pike Place Market and now it boasts 20 brick-and-mortar outposts in more than 20 states across the U.S. To commemorate this milestone, Sur La Table is releasing three highly anticipated launches alongside an epic up to 50% off sale.

First and foremost, there’s a new content center, cleverly dubbed Lid & Ladle, which serves as a one-stop digital destination for all things food, recipes, and entertainment. As for the name, it’s a kitschy reference to the typical go-to essentials when preparing a dish. Second, and equally important, Sur La Table launched a four-piece limited-edition collection of spatulas, canvas totes, mugs, and dish towels, all of which bear a watercolor illustration of the original Pike Place storefront.

Sur La Table didn’t stop at two exciting launches, though. There’s also a huge sale comprising 13 items, all priced at $19.72, to honor the year Sur La Table was founded. Additionally, there are a variety of items up to half off. We’re coveting the set of doppio glass mugs and olivewood salt keeper.

“As we embark on our 50th year in business, we reflect on our brand’s evolution over the last five decades," Jordan Voloshin, CEO of Sur La Table, said in a statement. "Our commitment to a simple idea has remained the same since we first opened our doors in Seattle’s Pike Place Market in 1972: Make good food. Invite People. Do it Daily.”

The woman who inspired the booming brand’s simple mantra? Sur La Table’s founder, Shirley Collins, who initially partnered with chefs and kitchen brands to deliver on her promise of quality food. And if you’ve ever taken one of Sur La Table’s 60,000 cooking classes by one of the brand’s resident chefs, you know what Collins meant—especially the “make good food” part.

Be sure to check out the launches and clearance event, but hurry! We don’t expect the charming pieces to stay in stock for long.
