The Super-Simple Candle Holder Tip That I’ve Been Absolutely Sleeping On

If there’s one thing I’ll splurge on, it’s buying candles and candlesticks for my home. They’re a simple way to elevate any area — whether a dining table centerpiece or welcoming guests on an entryway table. There are so many cool options (just look at Jenna Lyons’ favorite taper candles).

But purchasing an influx of candles (or even making your own!) means committing to more candle holders — especially if you’re ready to display them all at once. I know, I could be patient and wait until one candle burns before displaying the next, but I’m a firm believer in more is more and better.

Usually, I separate my candle sticks by room or area. For instance, I have two on my dining table and two on the media console in my living room. However, adding more to my collection poses an issue, as I have limited rooms (and space, in general!) in my tiny apartment. So, you can imagine my delight when I stumbled upon Annelies’s ingenious arrangement of her various candle sticks in her colorful Amsterdam houseboat.

In Annelies’s living room, she has gorgeous built-in shelving. Each shelf looks almost like a museum display, with objects showcased minimally. Immediately, my eye was drawn to the mixture of candlesticks.

On one shelf, six different candles and candlesticks are displayed together. Their colors, shapes, and sizes are different. Annelies even emphasizes their differences by presenting them on an elevated tray. This creative mix of candles made me happy.

Displaying different candles all together this way reminded me of why I buy this home decor item in the first place. I appreciate their differences; I like how people come to my house and pick out their favorite one. So why not arrange them all together? It saves me space in all of my rooms and is like a burst of happiness whenever I see them standing proudly together.
