'Super Mario Bros.' Teaser Previews the Mushroom Kingdom
Following the release of an official trailer for the highly-anticipated Super Mario Bros. movie, new 30-second commercials which aired in Switzerland have now been circulating the web. Showing exclusive footage, the short teasers offer a glimpse of Mushroom Kingdom, its residents, and the character Toad. Also shown are special coin ATM machines and the inner workings of the world's pipe system the film echoes.
The upcoming film seems to echo the classic storyline for the classic Super Mario Bros. game, following a plumber named Mario who travels through an underground labyrinth with Luigi to save Princess Peach. The cast is said to include Jack Black as Bowser, Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach Seth Rogan as Donkey Kong, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, and Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek.
The Super Mario Bros. movie is set to premiere in theaters on April 7, 2023. Take a look at the commercial below and stay tuned for more trailers and details to emerge in the coming months.
