The Boys is one of Amazon Prime Studios' biggest success stories, and now we finally know when we'll see its spinoff Gen V.
The series, which follows younger "supes" who know the true origin of their powers, is a sister show to The Boys and takes place concurrently with The Boys Season 4 in the universe's timeline.

What is Gen V about?
Gen V follows a group of young "supes" who are coming into their own as the first generation to know about Compound V, meaning they know their powers were the result of an experimental injection and that they weren't born with superhero abilities.
According to an official synopsis, "These young, competitive heroes put their physical and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the school’s highly coveted top ranking ... They quickly come to learn that ambition comes with sacrifice, and the difference between right and wrong is not as clear as they once believed. When the university’s dark secrets come to light, the students must come to grips with what type of heroes they are going to become."
The story follows the "We Gotta Go Now" series in The Boys comics. In the TV show universe, Gen V takes place at the same time as The Boys Season 4.

When does Gen V come out?
Gen V will drop its first three episodes on Friday, Sept. 29, 2023. After that, one episode a week will drop every Friday until the Season 1 finale on Nov. 3, 2023.

A teaser trailer for Gen V shows Marie Moreau manipulating blood and entering a facility (likely the Godolkin University School of Crimefighting from the comics). From there, we see a lot of bloodshed and quick glimpses of some of the stars, as well as Marie talking to a reporter on TV, but not too much else from which to draw conclusions about the plot.
