Believe me when I tell you that these are some of the best menswear pieces I’ve seen this spring—and as somebody who spends all day, every day looking at and for new menswear pieces, that’s saying a lot.

Unless you count a chic Carhartt WIP shacket or a leather trucker from Stüssy and Levi’s, there weren’t any big new outerwear drops this week, which, to me, is a sure sign that it’s time to start building your summer wardrobe, lest the first super-hot day of the year rolls around and you find yourself completely dripless.

This is the best place to start finding summer pieces, though. Whether you’re vacationing or just waiting for your next summer Friday, you can deck yourself out in new sneakers from Golden Goose or chukkas from Buck Mason and Padmore & Barnes or embroidered boots from Clarks and Percival. You can dress things up with linen Gucci shorts or dress them down with a heavyweight Stone Island tee. And whatever you do, don’t forget to accessorize—a colorful new Speedy from Louis Vuitton and an elegant bracelet from Jia Jia will do the trick there.
