'Suits' Fans Totally Missed How Patrick J. Adams Subtly Called Out Meghan Markle on Instagram

Ever since Suits hit Netflix in June, fans have been flocking to the streamer to learn more about the show that made Meghan Markle a star long before she married Prince Harry in May 2018. Now, Meghan's former co-star, Patrick J. Adams, has called out the show's newfound success in a hilarious way folks certainly did not see coming.

In early September, eagle-eyed fans caught on to a subtle change on Patrick's Instagram account. While the USA Network series ended in 2019, Patrick decided to reference the show's resurgence in his Instagram bio while simultaneously calling out Meghan's trajectory after she left Suits in season 7.

"The guy from that show you're watching on that app because that girl married that prince," he jokingly wrote on the social media platform.

As viewers may remember, Patrick and Meghan played lovebirds Michael Ross and Rachel Zane. They were both original cast members when Suits debuted in 2011, until Meghan left the series in 2018 (Patrick left the following year).

The two became good friends while working together, and Patrick, along with his fellow cast members, attended Meghan's wedding at Windsor Castle in London, England.

While Patrick and Meghan reportedly lost touch after the births of their children — Meghan has son Archie and daughter Lilibet with Prince Harry, while Patrick has daughter Aurora with wife Troian Bellisario — Patrick has voiced his thoughts about reconnecting with his former co-star at some point down the road.

"After our children were born, there were some texts sent and gifts sent, but I guess I'm a little scared," he explained to the Radio Times in 2020, per People. "I think it's pure fear. I guess I'm scared about the idea of breaking through whatever walls exist to have that conversation."

"Quite frankly, I think I'm intimidated," he added. "I have no doubt I could pick up the phone and call her at any moment, but I don't know what I would say."

Who knows, perhaps Patrick's Instagram bio joke will spark reunion plans?!
