Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Prequels Give Away Free DLC

Suicide Squad 1

Upcoming video game Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League will receive a prequel comic book series, with each issue giving out codes for in-game downloadable content.

The books, using the ridiculus title Suicide Squard: Kill Arkham Asylum, are due February 6, just days after the release of the game on February 2.

The five-issue series will feature codes for DLC “inspired by the game” and will also be available to DC Universe Infinite Annual and Ultra subscribers on release. You can take a peak at the cover and internal pages below.

The game is being developed by Batman: Arkham series developer Rocksteady Studios, with players taking on the roles of Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark.

Reaction to its gameplay and location have been mixed by the video game press. After an initial reveal of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, Rocksteady delayed the release by eight months before restarting a media campaign this week.

The Suicide Squad: Kill Arkham Asylum prequel focuses on Amanda Waller recruiting a new Task Force X to take on a Brainiac-corrupted Justice League, opening Arkham Asylum up for a free-for-all death match among patients.

It’s probably not a spoiler to suggest Quinn, Deadshot, King shark and Captain Boomerang will survive the limited edition series.

If you’re a Harley Quinn fan, you’ll be pleased to know she’s had her adult animated TV show renewed for Season 5.
