Sugarbush To Raise Vermont Flooding Relief Funds With Music Festival

Sugarbush Resort, Vermont, announced earlier this week, August 24th, that they're hosting an upcoming music festival called Outpour to benefit those impacted by recent flooding in the state.

The festival will take place on Sunday, September 17th, with all ticket proceeds going towards the Vermont Community Foundation's VT Flood Response & Recovery Fund.

From the caption:

"Head up to Sugarbush’s Lincoln Peak Courtyard on Sunday, September 17th for a full day of food, drinks & live music featuring Sara Star and the Men from Mars, Guitfiddle, Phineas Gage, Running in Circles, Kind Bud, Abby Jenne and the Enablers, and Ragged Company. Doors at 11:00 AM with first notes at noon. Advanced tickets are just $20; day-of $25. Kids 12 & under are free."

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration calls the mid-July flooding in the state "The Great Vermont Flood," a period in which rainfall totals between three to nine inches were common over a 48-hour period.

Several ski areas in Vermont were forced to suspend operations during and after the flood, including Okemo Mountain Resort.

With the upcoming music festival, Sugarbush aims to help those impacted by the flood get back on their feet. Tickets for the event will be available soon.
