Succession season three practically had us glued to our television screens from beginning to end. The most recent season ended with Logan Roy (played by Brian Cox) discovering that his children wanted to replace him and take over the company. So, what’s next for the Roy family? Well, HBO has just released a brand-new full-length trailer for Succession season four.

Keep reading to find out more details about Succession season four.

1. What Is Succession Season 4 About?

HBO Max

It’s time to get excited because the official description for Succession season four has just been revealed. And thanks to Deadline, we now know the fourth season will consist of ten episodes.

The description reads: “The sale of media conglomerate Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson moves ever closer. The prospect of this seismic sale provokes existential angst and familial division among the Roys as they anticipate what their lives will look like once the deal is completed. A power struggle ensues as the family weighs up a future where their cultural and political weight is severely curtailed.”

2. When Is Succession Season 4 Coming Out?

Unfortunately, we still don’t have an official release date for Succession season four. But the good news? The cast and crew have started production. Back in June, HBO shared an update on the show’s social media platforms. The new post showed a picture of the director’s clapboard, with the number “401” (short for season four, episode one) written on the side. As for the caption, it read, “Production on Succession Season 4 has begun.”

5. Is There a Trailer?

In October 2022, HBO Max released the first full-length trailer for Succession season 4, which offers a rare glimpse of the new episodes. The clip begins with the return of Logan Roy, saying, “Everything I try to do, people turn against me.”

Cue a montage of scenes featuring family meetings, decisions and—of course—betrayals. It concludes by confirming that season 4 will premiere in “Spring 2023.”

The teaser also shows all four of Logan’s children—Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Shiv (Sarah Snook), Roman (Kieran Culkin) and Connor (Alan Ruck).
