The hilariously cute video, shared by the TikTok account for @smallredcar has made so many fans of this generous subway rat. @Shethatisnau says, "Rats are actually shown to be altruistic in studies, so he was 100% intending to share his treasure with her - better than some humans for sure." @Jill adds, "He risked his life for that donut what a king."

Rats are omnivores, which means they will basically chow down on anything they can get their tiny paws on, including donuts. There are close to 3 million rats in NYC, and these rodents carry pathogens that can cause diarrhea, vomiting, and fever in humans – especially in children. These street rats are very different than domestic pet rats, who are said to clean themselves more frequently than cats.

@Xenia comments, "The NY rats have a better love life than I do." LOL! He's such a gentleman. @Gaby adds, Love that for her!" @Kinna replies, "He’s treating her better than any man has ever treated me." Awwww! This subway rat is setting the standard for men all over!

Maybe he can make some extra donut money by writing a self-help romance how-to book for dudes!
