Stylish Surfing Embodied, with Corey Colapinto (Watch)
The Colapinto clan has surfing coursing through their veins.
Griffin is a Championship Tour super slayer; Crosby is gonna make the jump to the big leagues any day now; and the Cola bros' cousin, Corey, is an exceptional surfer, too.
However, Corey’s path has been a bit different than those of his cousins.
The San Clemente surfer is typically known for riding waves around his hometown, stylishly walking the nose on his longboard, and practically dancing down the line.
He's not much of a competition guy, or high-performance surfer, like his cousins.
Like this clip above, which features a recent trip to Costa Rica, where Corey took out a bit of different shape – a 6’5” twin-fin – and put his style on full display.
And once again, Corey showed that he is one of the most beautiful and graceful freesurfers in the game.
In addition to the YouTube clip above, the comments section blew up on a social media post, praising the style guru:
“That was insane!” wrote freesurfer and travel adventurer, Parker Coffin.
“Sickest style around,” wrote surfing funnyman, Jonathan Wayne Freeman.
“I love your style, no matter what board you ride. What size is that one?” wrote another.
“Though I admire the technical skills of riders who perform amazing stunts, this guy has something none of them even approach: grace and elegance. He is jazz to their hip hop,” wrote another.
He is the jazz to their hip hop – now that’s got a nice ring to it.
