Studio Ghibli Theme Park Releases Official Trailer and Opening Date

The world's first Ghibli Park, located in Nagakute city, Japan, around three hours train ride from Tokyo, has officially announced an opening date.

The heavily anticipated theme park will be split into five sections: Hill of Youth, Ghibli's Large Warehouse, Mononoke's Village, Valley of Witches, and Dondoko Forest. Each section blends with the expansive natural landscape of the park, and references and recreates settings from Hayao Miyazaki's hit classics such as My Neighbor Totoro, Laputa: Castle in the Sky, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, and more.

The Ghibli Theme Park will open on November 1. Visitors will have access to its Hill of Youth, Ghibli Large Warehouse, and Dondoko Forest sections, while Mononoke's Village and the Valley of Witches sections are expected to be completed in the fall of 2023.
