Students add color to Millersburg community garden

MILLERSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Some kids in a northern Dauphin County community are adding some more color to their garden.

They’re painting a mural on a shed at the Millersburg Community Garden, which is celebrating its first anniversary.

It sits along the Susquehanna River in Myo Park.

There, residents can rent a plot to grow their own vegetables.

The mural also provides the opportunity for Millersburg High School students to showcase their skills.

“We really wanted to work with school students because I think it’s something that is really special when we get to utilize them and they’re so talented,” Alexis Campisi, Millersburg Borough Community Garden Coordinator. “I think to makes them feel good, to be able to add something special to their community.”

Along with the artwork, the names of sponsors and donors are also being added to the shed.
