  • King Charles III is seeking to remove Prince Andrew from his longtime residence at the Royal Lodge.

  • However, the controversial royal is refusing to leave, even just for simple roof repairs.

  • The King hopes to relocate his brother to Frogmore Cottage, formerly occupied by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The nuances of gifting etiquette can be confusing—but nevertheless important. Do you have a right to be mad if your daughter doesn't take you to the Taylor Swift concert you gifted her tickets for? Should you keep the gift you bought for a bride if she disinvites you to the wedding? Should your brother, newly crowned king, kick you out of the home you were gifted just because you were good friends with the most infamous human trafficker of the last century?

Yes, the tensions have only grown between the freshly crowned King Charles III and his disgraced brother Andrew. The guy has been a headache for the royal family because of, you know, the whole Epstein thing, and while Prince Andrew hasn't been convicted of any of the heinous acts he's been accused of, "dude kinda sucks" is a general sentiment, to put it generously.

As such, King Charles has been trying to rein in his brother, including keeping him away from the public eye and moving him from his current residence at the Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park. But Prince Andrew has other plans.

Relations have not improved since we last reported on Charles's intentions for his controversial brother. Charles had hoped that Andrew would acquiesce to his intentions to move him from the Royal Lodge to Frogmore Cottage, formerly occupied by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. But Andrew is refusing to budge.

"It's become farcical. Andrew has roof repairs scheduled for later this summer, which will take several months to complete, and has been advised that staying in the house during those renovations could prove problematic. But he is reluctant to leave," a source told the Daily Record.

Part of the reason Charles is pushing for the move is that the residence had become too expensive to maintain in its current state, and Charles intends to cut back on royal spending. It's also been said that the home, once Andrew departs, may be intended for the Prince and Princess of Wales.

But Andrew is reportedly refusing all commands from his monarch brother. Despite it all, he is staying put against the idea of someone using their wealth and position of power to rob someone of their autonomy and take action without their consent.

The irony here is not lost on us.
