Thank God, You Can Finally Watch the ‘Barbie’ Movie on Max

All anyone is talking about is the Barbie movie. And you know what? That's how it should be, because the movie is really, really great. Margot Robbie makes an incredible Barbie. Ryan Gosling absolutely crushes it as Ken. And director Greta Gerwig managed to make a movie about a plastic doll, particularly the ending, actually interesting. It is a feat of modern cinema. And you might be asking yourself: How can I watch this candy-colored dreamscape at home? We're here to help with that.

Where is Barbie streaming?

Barbie is a Warner Bros. movie. If you don't know, Warner Bros. recently merged with Discovery, and they unveiled a new version of HBO Max simply called Max. That is theoretically where all the Warner Bros. movies will go after they are done with their theatrical runs.

But is Barbie on Max yet?

YES. It just landed on Max today. Not only can you watch the movie, but you can also change you Max profile picture to be one of the avatars. Fun!

In addition, a version of Barbie featuring an American Sign Language interpreter is also available to stream for those who prefer that option.

So what if I don't have Max?

You'll have to pay for it on PVOD on all your video-on-demand platforms! You can rent it on Amazon Prime, for example, for $20 and buy it for $25. That's the way to watch it at home right now.

But my personal recommendation: the movie is very much worth seeing in a theater, if it's still playing near you. Because the movie is in contention for various awards this awards season, you might be able to see special screenings at your local theater.
