"Stranger Things" Star Noah Schnapp Spent His Summer at Camp Like a Normal Kid

While Noah Schnapp may be the star of Stranger Things — and, as of Monday owns a custom Louis Vuitton tuxedo — he's still only 13 years old. Which means he spends his summers, when the shows's not filming, like any other 13-year-old would: at sleepaway camp.

On the Emmys red carpet on Monday, E! news host Jason Kennedy asked the Stranger Things boys how they spent their time off before heading back to work on season three of the hit Netflix show. Caleb McLaughlin admitted that he spent most of the time working on other projects, while Noah revealed that his fame hasn't stopped him from continuing to go to summer camp the same way he always has.

"Every summer, I've been going since I was 8 to a sleep away camp. I went for a little bit, and I was filming. It was fun," he said.

In fact, Noah Schnapp was actually at sleep away camp when Stranger Things-mania started to take hold three summers ago. "I went to camp and I came back, and I saw that people from across the world were watching the show, and everyone was interacting with us on social media. I was so happy and amazed by how far the show had gone," he told Teen Vogue in 2016.

As for how he spent the rest of his time before heading back to work? "I had a good amount of time off so I could go home for a while. I had a good amount of the summer off," he continued. When asked if people still treated him the same way in New Jersey, where he's from, Noah replied, "Of course they do, it wouldn't be home if they didn't."

The second season of Stranger Things is nominated for four Emmys, and the young cast definitely brought their style A-game to celebrate the night. Noah, Caleb and Dustin Matarazzo all wore custom designer tuxedos, and Millie Bobby Brown and Sadie Sink stunned in pink and white gowns. Then there was Joe Keery's hair, which frankly deserved an Emmy nomination of its own.
