Luckily, there was an Eddie Munson fan nearby who saved the day!

During a chat with Fallon, the British actor explained: “I was taken into, I guess what you could call it, it was more of a dungeon, and I was asked to wait there for about 20 minutes."

“So then I was summoned to this desk where someone asked me, ‘What are you doing in the United States, sir?’ I said, ‘Well, I’m actually here to meet Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show.’ And he didn’t believe me. And one of his colleagues looked over at me, looked at him, and said, ‘Leave Eddie alone,'" he continued.

Quinn went on to say that the officer who was questioning him turned out to be a big fan too, clarifying, “You’re Eddie Munson?”

Quinn explained, “He was like, ‘Do you come back next season?' I said, ‘I don’t know.’ He’s like, ‘You better.’ Gave me the passport.”

"And there you go! The power of Eddie Munson" Fallon enthusiastically concluded.

Quinn mentioned that he's "very glad" that Fallon invited him onto the show because he brought the talk show host a gift. He explained that the Hell Fire Club was "missing a member" as he reached behind a chair and pulled out a t-shirt from season 4. Fallon revealed he was "honored" to be an official member of the club!

Shortly after the gift exchange, Fallon brought up the fact that fans absolutely adore the Stranger Things character, stating, "People are passionate about your character [Eddie Munson.] People love you! You crushed it!"

Quinn responded, "oh bless you," as Fallon begged the question, "what are people connecting with, with your character?"

Quinn explained that he saw was moved by fanbase at Comic Con, adding,
"I think it's probably the fact that he's an outsider, a little bit on the fringes of society."

At the beginning of July, Quinn attended London Film and Comic Con where one interaction with a fan brought him to tears.

The fan thanked him for dedicating his time and "making their summer," explaining that fans have connected with Eddie for a variety of reasons, noting, "I think all of us are apart of Eddie."
