Since landing his breakout role as Mike Wheeler in Stranger Things, Finn Wolfhard has garnered an impressive catalog of credits on his resume.

He starred in the 2017 remake of the horror film It, its sequel It Chapter Two, and Ghostbusters: Afterlife. He’s appeared alongside some of the biggest names in the business, including Nicole Kidman and Sarah Paulson in The Goldfinch and Julianne Moore in When You Finish Saving the World. Now, he’s adding director and writer to his portfolio.

On Tuesday, July 12, Deadline reported that Finn and actor Billy Bryk will write and direct a new horror-comedy movie titled, Hell of a Summer. The duo — who previously worked together on Ghostbusters and When You Finishing the World — will also star in the feature film, alongside The White Lotus’s Fred Hechinger.

Plot details and storylines are being kept hush-hush, and it’s unclear when the film is slated to hit theaters or streaming services. It’ll be produced by Aggregate Films, in conjunction with 30WEST.

Finn shared the Deadline announcement on his Instagram Stories on Tuesday, and in a statement per the outlet, expressed his enthusiasm for the new project.
