There's no denying the impact that Stranger Things has on its viewers. From makeup collaborations inspired by the show's dual universes to gift ideas for super fans, the Stranger Things hive shows up and shows out every time. It should be no surprise that their support also extends to the show's soundtrack. Kate Bush's 1985 single "Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God) reportedly earned $2.3 million in streaming royalties after it was featured in season four, Volume 2, Chapter Seven, and has even been covered by Halsey. Now, there's a new 1980s single making waves on the music charts after Vol. 2 of ST4 debuted on July 1.

Rock group Metallica hit the iTunes Rock Chart at No. 1 after the group's 1986 heavy-metal track "Master of Puppets" was featured in Chapter Nine, as Eddie Munson played his guitar to distract the demobats from the Creel house.

Stranger Things music supervisor Nora Felder dished to Variety about the Duffer Brothers' decision to include the song during the heroic scene. "It was another one of those 'it has to be this song' moments," Felder explained. "This part of the story was anticipated to be a pivotal and especially hair-raising scene in which Eddie heroically stood tall for the fight of his life. I believe the Duffer Brothers felt that playing 'Master of Puppets' throughout the extended scene was the clear choice. No other song was discussed further, and we jumped in to clear it straight away."

She announced a huge surprise when she confirmed that Joseph Quinn, who stars as Eddie Munson, actually played the guitar in the infamous scene. "Yes, Joseph did take time to learn the guitar riff and was actually playing along to a guide track," she confirmed. "Everyone thought he did a great job."

OMG! As if we needed another reason to stan Eddie Munson.
