"Stranger Things" Season 4 Will Be Intense, Says Caleb McLaughlin

We’ve gotten our first teasers and even a peek at filming, but Caleb McLaughlin is now warning us that Stranger Things season 4 will be even more intense than we might be picturing.

In a new interview with Complex, Caleb opened up about the upcoming season, which the fans have been eagerly awaiting since we got our first table read in March 2020, revealing that the “storylines are insane.” The actor, who plays Lucas Sinclair, teased that season 4 will be “definitely different from the last couple of seasons.”

“I’m excited for people to see the season. We’ve been filming it right now for the past year and a half, two years because of COVID,” Caleb told the publication. (Production for the season was momentarily halted in March 2020.) “It’s going to be really exciting to see what people think about this,” he added. “While I’m talking about this, I’m thinking about what we’ve been filming and I’m just like, ‘Wow. No one knows what is to come. It’s insane.’”

From the teases released in early May and a scene Millie Bobby Brown (aka Eleven) was seen filming, we know the new season will feature explosions, ambulances, and a whole lot of blood. But there are also plenty of new faces in Hawkins. Since the season was renewed back in September 2019, Netflix has announced new cast additions, not once, not twice, but three times

Netflix is yet to announced an official release date for Stranger Things' season 4, but many expect it will be sometime in 2022. Until then, we will be patiently waiting.
