New "Stranger Things" Season 4 Behind the Scenes Video Shows Cast Reunion

We're (slowly) getting closer and closer to the inevitable Stranger Things 4 on Netflix in 2021. But, before season 4 can drop, major events in the upcoming season's production, like emotional reunions for cast table reads, have to happen.

Lucky for us, a camera was on hand during the first Stranger Things 4 table read of the season, and that footage was shared with fans earlier this week. Naturally, because this revolves around a highly-anticipated new season of a beloved and supremely popular Netflix series, lots of details like when this table read happened or which script was read during the event are still unknown. But, honestly? It was just so thrilling to see all of our favorite Stranger Things alums, including Millie Bobby Brown, Noah Schnapp, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, and Joe Keery, back for more.

Plus, we got to see the return of newer cast members like Maya Hawke, who plays Robin, and Brett Gelman, a.k.a. Murray, as well as new series regular Priah Ferguson joining in on the table read, which is always very exciting to see. Just watching all of the cast members hug each other, goof around, and in Gaten's case, videotape the happy reunion with an old-school camcorder makes the whole Stranger Things 4 table read teaser worth the watch.

Details on Stranger Things 4 are still under wraps for the most part. However, a very thrilling recent teaser trailer revealed that Hopper (David Harbour is still alive. And yes, that's great news but it's also a bummer because, as the teaser also revealed to us, Hopper is currently imprisoned in a Soviet Union labor camp somewhere in Siberia. Stranger Things co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer have previously teased the upcoming Stranger Things season will be taking us out of Hawkins, Indiana (where most of the action of past seasons has been located), so it's a safe bet an intricate and dramatic escape plan will be hatched by Hopper's friends and family to help break him out of Russia.
