"Stranger Things" Fan Figures Out Crazy Coincidence Between Characters That Keep Getting Killed

From Seventeen

Stranger Things fans aren't afraid to share their theories, especially when it comes to the fate of their favorite characters. Everyone knows that no one is safe, especially when all those crazy monsters start to take over Hawkins, Indiana with the help of some pretty evil people that are trying to use them for their own gain. Since season one, the show's creators have shown that they aren't afraid of killing off characters, especially after Barb was killed in the Upside Down in season 1.

While some viewers might think that these characters are getting killed because of the plot, Reddit user docdrazen noticed a big connection with most of the characters that met their fate on the show. Turns out, characters with names starting with the letter B were getting killed on the show. They even took a big guess as to who might be killed in season 3.

"First Bennie. Then Barb. Potentially Brenner? Now Bob. Are all characters with their name starting with B doomed? Or just a coincidence? Is Billy up for expiration in season 3?," they wrote after season 2.

Turns out, they were 100 percent right and Billy was killed at the end of season 3. They reposted their theory noting that they were right and that the curse seems to be continuing. However, no one could've honestly guessed that he would be taken over by the Mind Flayer and he would die trying to protect El, Max, and the rest of the group.

Billy also wasn't the only B-name character that was killed in season 3. Bruce, who was a journalist at The Hawkins Post with Nancy and Jonathan, was also killed by Nancy as he tried to go after them while he was possessed by the Mind Flayer.

While this is definitely a big theory, it's also important to note that some other characters were killed along the way, including Alexei, whose names don't start with the letter B. Also, although it might be suspicious that Brenner is still alive, it's important to note that his first name is actually Martin, which is probably why he wasn't affected by the B-name curse at all.

There doesn't seem to be any other B-name characters left, so our favorites should be safe. But there's always a chance a new character can come along and continue the theory in season 4.
