'Stranger Things' Couple Makes Rare Red Carpet Appearance

We already know Stranger Things fans are freaking out over Natalie Dyer and Charlie Heaton's recent red carpet appearance.

The duo—who even play on-screen lovers Nancy Wheeler and Jonathan Byers in the hit Netflix series—were a real-life power couple while attending the 2023 Brooklyn Artists Ball made possible by Dior on Tuesday, April 25.

In the sweet photos, the couple showed up at the Brooklyn Museum in New York, while donning color-coordinated outfits and posing for some rare public pics together.

For her part, Dyer, 28, was clad in a long black maxi skirt paired with an intricate floral jacket, while Heaton, 29, cleaned up in a satin black blazer and matching pants.

After photos from the event were shared on Twitter, fans couldn't contain their excitement over the outing, with one user calling the twosome the "perfect couple."

"MY KING AND QUEEN," one, rather impassioned, tweet read.

"my favorite couple," another user added.

"They're the best," wrote someone else.

But while fans are definitely rooting for Dyer and Heaton in real life, the same might not be said for their characters on TV, who have been involved in a love triangle with Joe Keery's character Steve Harrington since Season 1.

The fandom has long been torn about which pair to ship, and even Dyer herself has expressed mixed feelings about who her character should end up with.

"Honestly, I just think the way Jonathan and Nancy happened, I was like... she doesn't always make the most morally right decisions all the time. But that's human," the actress previously told guest host Megan Thee Stallion while appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in August 2022.

While grilling Dyer about her character's love life, the "Savage" rapper also pointed out that Nancy seemed to be flirting with Steve at the end of the most recent season, leaving fans unsure about which relationship will be endgame as the final chapter of the show rolls out.

"You know, I have options, I guess," Dyer added of her character, leaving Stranger Things fans in the dark about Nancy's romantic future.
