Storm Reid Rocks Extra-Long Braid at “The Suicide Squad” Premiere – See Photos

Storm Reid knows how to wow a crowd with her style. The star showed up at The Suicide Squad premiere on August 2 wearing a custom Prada two-piece and diamanté-encrusted Prada shoes. But the star of the show was undoubtedly her extra-long ponytail fit for a goddess.

The mind behind the 'do was celebrity hairstylist Nai’vasha. She told Teen Vogue just how long Storm’s braided pony took and what influenced the sensational look. “The inspiration for last night’s look was whimsical glamour. The idea was to bring a fun yet dramatic approach to the carpet,” Nai’vasha revealed over email. “Storm’s beautiful braid measured a whopping 13 FEET! It took me about 90 minutes to achieve. Definitely a fun night!” she added.

Nai’vasha used 16 feet of braiding hair to create Storm’s model-esque look. She shared exactly how she kept every hair in place over on her Instagram. “Creating powerful looks with a ‘less is more’ approach is a sweet spot for me,” Nai’vasha captioned her post. She sleeked Storm’s hair using TRESemmé extra firm control gel and kept her naturally curly hair laid by wrapping it tight while the gel set. Nai’vasha also styled Storm’s pristine pony with gel and finished the entire look with a generous mist of hairspray.

Storm was clearly in love with her XL braid. She couldn’t help but gush over it on her Instagram story after the event. “This hair. I’m obsessed! I gotta measure it,” she said. Celebs also took to Storm’s IG comment section to praise just how good she looked. “Wow storm wow!!” wrote singer Chloe Bailey and “effortlessly beautiful” commented model Duckie Thot.

Storm’s hair was a movie moment in itself but her outfit also caught our attention. Styled by Jason Bolden, she wore a monochrome Prada piece covered in silver circular cut-outs. The Euphoria star paired it with a much sought-after pair of embellished Prada loafers and sparkling silver eyeliner. According to Bolden’s TikTok, the red carpet custom look was a modern homage to '80s showgirl Lola Falana. Just another evening of greats influencing greats!
