Storm Reid Brings Pinstripe Patterns to FN Achievement Awards 2023 in Marc Jacobs Suit

Storm Reid opted for classic details at the 2023 FN Achievement Awards on Wednesday in New York City, wearing a pinstripe suit.
“I wanted to feel powerful tonight, so I decided to go with this Marc Jacobs pantsuit,” Reid told WWD about her look, which she paired with a black bralette. The patterned pantsuit was from the brand’s fall 2023 ready-to-wear collection, which WWD described as featuring “striking mannish suits with sharp, boxy or cropped proportions.”

The actress received the Style Influencer of the Year Award for both her glamorous ensembles at high-profile events and her streetwear outfits as a college student at the University of Southern California.
“To me, fashion is fun and limitless. It’s a way to take up space and express yourself. The fact that my style is influencing others is a blessing,” Reid said.
Reid first gained popularity for her roles in Netflix’s “When They See Us” and starring as Ruth, Zendaya‘s younger sister in HBO’s “Euphoria.” On how Zendaya, an emerging fashion icon in her own right, has influenced her ever-evolving style, Reid said, “Her presence is what’s so striking; whether she’s on set or on a red carpet. She’s comfortable in her skin, and that’s helped me be comfortable in wearing what I want.”
2023 continues to be a successful year for Reid — along securing a 2023 Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, the star also debuted her first New Balance sneaker as the footwear brand’s ambassador in July.
The collaboration featured the CT 305, a Y2k-themed shoe that said was inspired by “my identity, my roots and my Atlanta-upbringing.” “I’ve been a sneaker head my entire life,” Reid said, later adding, “To have a tangible shoe and people are wearing them, it’s incredible.”
For 37 years, the annual FN Achievement Awards — often called the “Shoe Oscars” — have celebrated the style stars, best brand stories, ardent philanthropists, emerging talents and industry veterans. This year’s honorees included Sam and Libby Edelman, Gherardo Felloni for Roger Vivier and Brandon Blackwood. The 2023 event is supported by sponsors Authentic Brands Group, Birdies, Caleres, Crocs, FDRA, Nordstrom, Saucony and Vibram.
