Stone Island Helps Launch the New Balance MADE in UK 991v2

Sneakerheads all over the globe look to New Balance for innovation and style inspiration. One of the brand's strengths is its versatility and exciting collaborations with different partners. The original 991 set the standard for contemporary running shoe design. Now, this icon enters a new era, with the MADE in UK 991v2.

The updated silhouette makes its debut with a collaborative Stone Island design. Stone Island’s vision for the 991v2 takes cues from the adapted industrial spaces that served as venues and clubs. Rendered in a decidedly utilitarian olive, grey, and black palette, the Stone Island MADE in UK 991v2 features a mesh upper inspired by latticed metal and overlaid with nubuck.

The colorway features a coated, texturized leather foxing, and an array of reflective accents place further tactile and visual emphasis on the industrial space concept. Co-branded details and custom packaging featuring the Stone Island Compass logo round out this stirring introduction.

Visible updates include a modernized strike path that reveals one of the most notable updated features - FuelCell cushioning. Additionally, an array of reflective accents provides a functional element drawn from the silhouette’s performance running roots.

From the everyday runways of trains, pubs, and terraces to the cutting-edge styles of clubs and high streets, New Balance and Stone Island have remained fixtures across decades of evolution in the UK’s style subcultures.
