Warning: The Ultimatum Season 2 spoilers ahead. I do or I don’t? Now that the second season is out on Netflix, it’s understandable why viewers want to know who’s still together from The Ultimatum Season 2 and where the couples are now after their choice to get engaged or break up.

The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On is Netflix’s reality TV dating series following a group of couples on the verge of marriage. One member of the couple—the Ultimatum Giver—is ready to get engaged and married, while the other member—the Ultimatum Receiver—isn’t as sure.

During The Ultimatum, the couples break up and recouple with new partners from the same group. They then move into an apartment with their new partner and date them in a trial marriage for three weeks. After the trial marriage is over, the cast members reunite with their original partners and move in with them for another three weeks. At the end of the series, the couples must decide if they want to get engaged and married or break up forever.

The series—which was created by Chris Cohen, the same creator behind Love Is Blind, The Perfect Match and Married at First Sight—is hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey, who gave an ultimatum to her own husband before they got engaged. “This reminds me of when we were dating, I swore I wouldn’t be a girl who gave an ultimatum and I did,” Vanessa said in the premiere of The Ultimatum Season 1. Nick added, “And let’s be honest, I had my own, what I thought were very valid reasons for not being ready to move forward.”

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in 2021, Coelen opened up about about how the couples he chose on The Ultimatum. “You want to put groups of people together who have something in common and who would have a genuine interest in one another,” he said. “This was a particular group of people who were all interested in the topic; there’s not a single person there who said, ‘I’m not interested in getting married.’ And then you have to think about, as a group of people, you want them to be able to support one another and to explore the idea of potentially being with one another.”

He continued, ” If we took two 50-year-old people, and you threw them in there, all of a sudden you’re introducing a different dynamic, which is, are the two 50-year-old people going to be interested in the 25-year-old people? So if we had a group of cast members who were more mid-30s, which is a really interesting, viable cast, to me it’s less about the ages than the fact that they’re participating in something where there’s going to be some mutual interest.”

Are Lisa and Brian Still Together From The Ultimatum Season 2?

Are Lisa and Brian still together from The Ultimatum Season 2? Jelisa “Lisa” Horne and Brian Okoye were one of two five original couples on Season 2 of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On. Lisa, a 32-year-old vice president of clinical services, was the Ultimatum Giver, while Brian, a 29-year-old financial analyst was the Ultimatum Receiver.

Lisa and Brian were the only original couple on The Ultimatum Season 2 to not recouple with a new partner at The Choice. Lisa and Brian left The Ultimatum Season 2 in Episode 3 after Lisa learned she was pregnant and they decided to exit the experiment together, though Brian did not propose to Lisa and they did not get engaged. “I had expectations coming into this experience that is ultimately going to end with Brian getting down on one knee. You don’t just get married or get engaged just because you’re pregnant, but I would hope it makes him realize a little bit more that ‘you’re the woman I want to build a life with,’ so why am I also not the woman you want to put a ring on her finger,’” Lisa said in a confessional interview.

So are Lisa and Brian still together from The Ultimatum Season 2? The answer is yes. Lisa and Brian confirmed they were still together in an interview with People after The Ultimatum Season 2 premiered, in which they talked about how the experience strengthened their relationship. “It definitely brought us a lot more self-awareness in regards to [us] emotionally,” Lisa said. “It’s easy for him to notice when I’m triggered about something or when I’m upset about something. He takes those things very, very seriously now. And as well as me, I’ve noticed how I communicate with him a lot more easily now, and I’m a lot more observant to him and being communicable about what he wants and things of that nature.”

Brian, for his part, told People that The Ultimatum ended up helping his and Lisa’s relationship because it “put a lot on the front street” in terms of their issues. “We were super vulnerable, and obviously for the world to see and for us to see as well. It definitely opened our minds up more about what we were experiencing,” he said. “And it made us more willing to actually work on those things.”

He continued, “And as parents, I think it gives us a little bit more of the softness that we need. Even though a lot of people don’t see that, but we have a really great friendship and just relationship as a whole.”

Lisa and Brian also looked back on their massive fight over Brian flirting with other cast members before they left The Ultimatum Season 2. “I am not going to lie, I was distraught,” she said. “We’re in this experiment. In my mind, I’m like, ‘He’s out here dating other women and I’m pregnant.’ I didn’t know what to feel or how to think in that moment, but my reassurance came after talking to him.”

Brian also told People about what it was like to re-watch his and Lisa’s fight. “Honestly, to watch it again, it’s like you get a little nervous because you don’t remember exactly how it played out, but at the same time, you just wish things went differently,” he said. “For me, I think the biggest thing was we were able to grow through it. I know people in relationships go through things all the time, but it’s all about how you withstand the obstacles that you’re faced with.”

Despite the drama during their short time on The Ultimatum Season 2, Lisa told People that she had “no regrets” about how her and Brian’s experience on the series.”I don’t have any regrets in regards to how it worked out, especially with the pregnancy because that has been an amazing journey in itself,” Lisa said. “Of course, I have regrets of how certain things unfolded … just my reaction in regards to the cocktail party and how that unfolded. Obviously that is the only regret I have.”

She continued, “But in regards to our time on the show and how I had to leave the show, no regrets on that because it really gave me time to have a healthy pregnancy, which is what I needed.”

Brian added, “I wouldn’t say I have any regrets of leaving. I think the decision that I made, and we made, together was the best decision for us, but I do wish that we were able to stay because I think that we could have learned a lot more about ourselves within that time, as well as what we were aiming for in terms of our relationship.”

Lisa and Brian also confirmed they were still together in an interview with Bustle after the premiere of The Ultimatum Season 2, in which they looked back at their pregnancy. “Finding out the news that she was pregnant, we had to make a decision quick as to whether or not we wanted to proceed,” Brian said. “I went into father mode instantly to say, ‘Hey, it just doesn’t make sense for us to continue the experience.’ We wanted to get as much out of it as possible — and it was unfortunate that we couldn’t finish it out — but I don’t regret it at all.”

Lisa added, “Once Brian found out, he was like, ‘Nothing else matters. I want to make sure your mental health is good, I want to make sure you’re good, I want to make sure our baby is good, let’s go. I want to go to the doctor like tomorrow to make sure everything is alright.’ And I agreed with him. So, that was his decision. He went into immediate protective mode.”

Lisa, who told Bustle that she doesn’t usually “clear up rumors,” also reacted to cast mate Alex Chapman claiming that she knew she was pregnant before filming on The Ultimatum Season 2 started. “People are going to say what they want to say, but it’s OK because we knew the truth,” she said. “I didn’t know [I was pregnant], so what anyone else had to say didn’t bother me. I know they’re good people. They’re not malicious.”

Before they confirmed they were still together, Brian and Lisa hinted at their relationship status on their social media. Both Brian and Lisa still follow each other on Instagram. Lisa also shared an Instagram post the day The Ultimatum Season 2 premiered of her and Brian on the show, which Brian reposted on his Instagram Story. “I put my heart on the line…was it worth it?? The Ultimatum: Marry or Move Season 2 is now on Netflix,” Lisa captioned the photo, which Brian reposted on his Instagram Story with the caption, “Yessir sis!” Brian also hinted that he and Lisa were still together when he reposted a friend’s Instagram Story of him and Lisa on The Ultimatum Season 2, in which the friend congratulated Lisa and Brian on the milestone in their relationship. “It’s timeeee! Congratulations @lisahorne_ & @brianxokoye,” the friend captioned the photo.

The Ultimatum Season 2 is believed to have filmed from September to November 2022 based on the social media hiatuses of the cast members. In November 2022, Brian shared an Instagram post in which he celebrated “two years of love and growth” with Lisa, which seemed to have confirmed they’re still together. “Tell me your vision and I’ll show it to you This past weekend was one for the books,” he wrote. “I celebrated two years of love & growth with @lisahorne_ and was fortunate to produce the finale of Red Bull’s HBCU Tour at NCCU. After months of planning of preparation we created a masterpiece.” Lisa commented, “Always so proud of you my baby” with a heart emoji, to which Brian responded, “my lady.”

Ryann, a 24-year-old radiologic technologist, was the Ultimatum Giver, while James, a 24-year-old grad student and research assistant, was the Ultimatum Receiver.

At The Choice, Ryann and James both recoupled with new partners. Ryann recoupled with Treyvon “Trey” Brunson, whose original partner was Jeriah “Riah” Nelson, while James recoupled with Riah. Ryann and James reunited at The Changeover. While James’ relationship with Riah seemed to be over based on his feelings for Ryann and his issues around physical intimacy, Ryann still seemed to have feelings for Trey, as the two didn’t have a single fight while they were together. They confirmed they were still together during The Ultimatum Season 2 reunion, where James revealed he proposed to Ryann a second time after filming ended in a “more intimate experience.” “It was more unexpected and natural. It took me by surprise,” she said.

Ryann and James also confirmed they were living together in her family’s house as “one big happy family.” “He’s always been an only child so him having to experience siblings and how annoying they are sometimes … it’s showing him how it’s going to be in the future when we have kids and a family. It’s a reality check. It’s going to be kind of chaotic sometimes,” she said. Ryan continued, “It’s been good for us.” Ryan added,  “I always knew it was Ryann. I’ve always known. The Ultimatum Season 2 is believed to have filmed from September to November 2022 based on the social media hiatuses of the cast members. In September 2022, James posted an Instagram photo in honor of Ryan’s 24th birthday. “Happy Birthday to my personal super woman 24 has never looked so good,” he wrote. Two years before that, in 2020, James shared another Instagram post in honor of his five-year anniversary with Ryann. “Words cannot express the amount of joy that this young woman has brought into my life. Though these posts were shared before The Ultimatum Season 2 started filming, they seemed to be clues that Ryann and James were still together given that he still had them up on his Instagram. James also still had a photo of him and Ryann as the icon for his TikTok profile. There are clues, however, that Ryann and James weren’t still together. In November 2022, Ryann shared an Instagram post with a series of photos of her with friends and family members for the holidays. Missing from the post was James. “Thankful for my people,” she captioned the post. While James wasn’t included in the post, it was likely that Ryan left him out on purpose to not spoil The Ultimatum Season 2.

Are Roxanne and Antonio still together from The Ultimatum Season 2? Roxanne Kaiser and Antonio Mattei were two of five original couples on Season 2 of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On. Roxanne, a 31-year-old founder and CEO, was the Ultimatum Receiver, while Antonio, a 30-year-old freight broker, was the Ultimatum Giver.

At The Choice, Roxanne and Antonio both recoupled with new partners. Roxanne recoupled with Alex Chapman, whose original partner was Kat Shelton, while Antonio recoupled with Kat. Roxanne and Antonio reunited at The Changeover. Both Roxanne and Antonio seemed to be done with their trial marriages. As far as their wedding, Roxanne told Bustle that she wants to “soak in being engaged,” though she has thought about a “dress that might be dope.” “Roxanne and I are finally able to explore what it’s like to not worry about finances as much and really just enjoy each other and get to know what it’s like to be in a relationship with each other where all of our needs are met,” Antonio said. “It’s been a great experience since we got back. I’ve never been more sure about something in my life. I’ve got this confidence that I haven’t had before and this feeling that I’ve made the right decision and I’m on the right path. Before they confirmed they were still together, Roxanne and Antonio hinted at their relationship status on their social media. Both Roxanne and Antonio still follow each other on Instagram. However, neither had liked any of each other’s recent Instagram posts. It’s believed that The Ultimatum Season 2 filmed from September 2022 to December 2022. In September 2022, Antonio shared an Instagram photo of Roxanne at a restaurant opening. “Spent the weekend at my favorite rooftop @palosanto_atl— CONGRATS ON THE NEW SPOT @lalox_rivera. We’ll be back to see you soon,” he captioned the post, to which Roxanne commented, “Who is that chick [cheesing].” Though the post was shared before The Ultimatum Season 2 started filming, it seemed to be a clue that Roxanne and Antonio were still together given that he still had the photo up on his Instagram. Antonio also had several other Instagram posts still up of him and Roxanne, including a photo of them at a wedding in March 2022 and another of them on New Year’s 2022. In an Instagram post announcing he was on The Ultimatum Season 2 in August 2023, Antonio referred to Roxanne as his girlfriend, which hinted that he didn’t get engaged in the finale, though that ended up being a misdirection to not spoil the season. “When you sign up for the ultimatum to propose to your girlfriend but then the talent starts walking in…. $@#%!… tune in NOW to see what happens!” he captioned the post.

I’m ready for this, like, right now versus a joke of, ‘Let’s have 12 kids.’”

In an interview with Us Weekly in August 2023, Antonio, who was Roxanne’s original partner, explained why he thought Alex and Roxanne slept together during their trial marriage. “He was speaking into existence all my deepest insecurities. I mean, Roxanne is just this crazy successful woman, and my history has not been the same,” Antonio said of when Alex claimed that Roxanne told him that she thought Antonio was weak. “I’ve always kind of grappled with that. Like, ‘God, does she really want to be with me? Is she settling for me? What is it?’ And then for him to say [that], it hurt. It really hurt.”

He continued, “So Alex heard all the ugly things about my relationship with Roxanne. So for him to have that opinion, I get it. … I just don’t know that I would’ve felt that I had the same authority he did to speak on the situation.”

Antonio also explained that he thought Alex and Roxanne slept together after Alex told him that he should sleep in the same bed as Kat during their trial marriage. “My first thought [when Alex said that] was that Roxanne and him slept together, and so he wanted Kat to sleep with me so she couldn’t be mad at him,” Antonio said. “That’s really where I initially started out and pretty much the opinion that I held until, you know, [I] found out that that wasn’t the case.”

Before they confirmed they were still together, Alex and Kat hinted at their relationship status on their social media. Both Alex and Kat still follow each other on Instagram. The Ultimatum Season 2 is believed to have filmed from September 2022 to December 2022 based on the social media hiatuses of the cast members. Both Alex and Kat still have photos from before they filmed The Ultimatum Season 2 still up on their Instagrams. In June 2022, Kat posted an Instagram photo of her and Alex on a hike with the caption, “NC summers.” She also posted a photo the month before in May 2022 of them at a wedding. Alex, for his part, posted an Instagram photo of him and Kat on a hike with friends in September 2022. “Trippy weekend,” he captioned the post. Though these posts were shared before The Ultimatum Season 2 started filming, they seemed to be clues that Alex and Kat were still together given that they still had them up on their Instagrams.
