We Still Haven’t Recovered From Ariana Grande’s Blonde Hair Transformation For ‘Wicked’

Ariana Grande is taking her role as Glinda for the upcoming Wicked movie very seriously, as she has just said goodbye to her brunette locks and hello to some honey-hued blonde ones – and as predicted, the internet can’t cope!

The “Seven Rings” singer, 29, shared a photo of herself wearing her newly-blonde hair in a low pony (a little lower than her signature super-high style!) to her Instagram account on October 26th. And she had some fun with her fans in the process, by captioning the post: “New earrings.”

It’s safe to say that Ari’s jewelry, new or not, was *not* the thing that caught her fans’ attention, and the comments section was predictably flooded with reactions about her hair-over!

“Blondiana just shattered the internet,” raved one fan. “Obsessed is an understatement,” praised another. “Blonde Ari is back,” gushed another fan, followed by the heart eyes emoji. “Just shed a tear,” commented another fan, while another fan branded Ariana’s hair transformation, “too iconic.” We couldn’t agree more! And in case it wasn’t obvious, we cannot wait to see her and Cynthia Erivo, who is playing the role of Elphaba, in action!

This isn’t the first time the "Thank U, Next" singer has changed her hair color for a role, as she dyed her hair a very bright shade of red when playing the role of Cat Valentine in Nickelodeon's Victorious and spin-off Sam and Cat all those years ago. She's a chameleon and can pull *anything* off!

Ariana already confessed that she is giving her all for her role as Glinda, so we aren’t surprised to see that she has taken the plunge and undergone this epic hair transformation. Back in May, the "Positions" singer said that the role of Glinda was "going to have every piece of me, every minute, every ounce of my heart, my time, my soul, my everything that I can give it." She added: "I'm spending all of my time with Glinda."
