Still Alice Premiere: Get Kristen Stewart’s and Kate Bosworth’s Gorgeous Makeup
Tuesday night’s New York City premiere of Still Alice served up some major beauty inspiration, namely from co-starsKristen Stewart and Kate Bosworth. While Stewart preferred to make a statement with a colorful smoky eye, Bosworth let herchic new lob take center stage with glowing skin and a barely-there lip. Seeing as both these ladies looked gorgeous (as usual), we reached out to their glam squads for all the details. Learn how to recreate their looks with these pro tips:

“My inspiration was sort of 1960’s in a way, but I wanted to make it modern,” says Beau Nelson, the pro behind Stewart’s look. “With the hair being as it was, it was easy for me to imagine Kristen in a ’60s girl group with a strong black eye that we reimagined with a metallic sapphire iridescence twist.” To begin, he lined the star’s lids with Chanel’s Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner in Noir Intense and Marine ($32 each;nordstrom.com), and then applied the brand’s Soft Touch Eyeshadow in Ebony ($30; nordstrom.com) right over it. As for the electric pop of blue? He switched to the Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner in Bleu Métallique this time and traced it over the black, “making it the most intense on the inner corners.” After applying two coats of mascara on the top and bottom lashes, Stewart’s eyes were set.

When it came to Bosworth’s makeup, Hung Vanngo was just as inspired by her hair makeover as he was by her embellished Oscar de la Renta gown. “We love Kate’s new short haircut and when we saw the dress, it was very reminiscent of a modern day Great Gatsby,” he tells us. First, he prepped the star’s complexion and under eye area with brightening moisturizers, and then he applied foundation, which he mixed with a hint of illuminator. For the eyes, he dusted on CK One’s Mono Eyeshadow in Ambitious ($15;ulta.com) along the crease and inner corner, finishing with a coat of mascara—no eyeliner necessary.
“For the cheeks, I applied CK One Cream + Powder Blush Duo in Breath ($25; ulta.com) using only the cream part and applied it with my finger, mainly to the cheekbones,” Vanngo adds. “I also used a few drops of the Skin Illuminator in Cool ($20; ulta.com) as a highlighter, using my fingers to apply on the apples of the cheeks, forehead, top of the nose, and cupid’s bow to make the skin look extra luminous.”
He completed the look with a nude pink lipstick, swiping on CK One in Devotion ($16; ulta.com). His advice? Skip the lip liner so the lips don’t appear “too heavy.”
