Steve Madden Is Launching a Fragrance Collection Called The Factory

The five scents are $18 each.

If there's any scent I associate with Steve Madden, it's Victoria's Secret Love Spell. It sounds arbitrary, I know, but consider the fact that I entered college in the late '90s, and when I looked down, I could simultaneously see those iconic Slinky black platforms on my feet and smell that purple body spray on my sternum. But now, you can pair those famous slides — or any other Steve Madden shoes in your closet — with five new perfumes from the footwear brand's new fragrance collection.

Available starting today, The Factory by Steve Madden is the first scent launch in the company's 28-year history. The collection, according to brand's website, "is all about how style shifts with every mood, vibe, and feel. The five scents tap into different sides of style and self-expression." And much like Steve Madden's shoe designs, all five eaux de parfum are decidedly youthful.

Kiss My Rose features notes of red rose petals, as you might imagine, as well as geranium and warm woods; Secret Girls Club is a beachy, laidback scent focused on blue coconut, peony, and white amber; We Need to Talk is quite possibly the most anxiety-inducing perfume name ever, but its chill notes of matcha latte, cucumber, and jasmine petals say otherwise; Delusional Heart is the sweetest of the bunch with pink pineapple, spun sugar, and jasmine swirling around vanilla; and She Plays With Fire is pretty literal, with its bonfire-inspired notes of marshmallow, birch woods, and musks.

Luckily, if several of these descriptions appeals to you, it's rather affordable to try more than one. Each travel-friendly one-ounce bottle is just $18 — buying all five is pretty much equivalent to buying way fewer ounces of a department-store fragrance. And while you're on stevemadden.com, you might as well update your shoe collection with some new platform slides, too.
