Steve Harvey Arranges Surprise Proposal for ‘Family Feud’ Contestant in Sweet Resurfaced Clip

The episode featuring the proposal originally aired in December 2019.

For Valentine's Day, Steve Harvey commemorated the time when Family Feud contestant Aleisha got something bigger than a cash prize: a marriage proposal.

Harvey posted a TikTok of the special 2019 episode, where he helped orchestrate Aleisha's sweet engagement.

In the clip, the host asks Aleisha if she’s married, without giving any hint of what’s at play. The contestant, none the wiser, replied, “Not yet.” When Harvey prodded, asking why, Aleisha explained she’s “just waiting on him to pop the question.”

“You think so?” asked Harvey. “I know so,” replied Aleisha. He led her down from her podium to the center of the stage, and said, “Now, I’m gonna let you see something that you don’t know, since you think you know everything,” as Aleisha’s partner walked into the room.

“I’m here today on national television, in front of all these people, asking you if you would do me the honor of lighting up my life for the rest of my life. Will you marry me?” her partner asked.

It was an emotional moment, with even family members from the opposing team getting teary-eyed.

But the hilarious part of the engagement featured on the episode that didn't make it on the TikTok is that Aleisha was still in the middle of the game, so she had to somehow go back to the podium and focus, which is definitely not easy. "I'm gonna have to play after this!" she joked through tears.

The couple reportedly got married in Belize a few months after the episode aired.

This was not the first Family Feud proposal. Under previous host John O'Hurley, contestant Ryan proposed to his girlfriend.
