Sterling K. Brown’s wife has been in your favorite TV shows, and you didn’t even realize it
The debate over who the cutest couple at the 2018 Golden Globes will be pretty intense, but we still think Sterling K. Brown and his wife Ryan Michelle Bathe have it on lock. (Although, y’know, we’re pretty into Meryl Streep and her plus-one this year, too.) Bathe might look familiar to you — not just because you’ve probably seen a cute red carpet pic of her and Sterling K. Brown before — but because she’s also an actress. And not only is she a pretty consistently successful actress, mostly in television, but she’s actually been on This is Us.
Ryan Michelle Bathe played Yvette, the mother who confronts Rebecca at the pool about Randall’s hair, and who later invites Randall over for some play dates with her kids.
Because we’ve only seen her with young Randall, she and Sterling K. Brown’s storylines haven’t intersected yet, but man! How cool is it that they’re both on the same show? It’s even cuter when you know they met their freshman year of college, doing a play together at Stanford. So acting is clearly a part of their relationship.
Ryan was also recurring character Charlie on Army Wives and has had roles on shows like Boston Legal, Bones, Brothers & Sisters, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
So what we’re saying is we should probably be writing an article entitled “Who is Ryan Michelle Bathe’s husband?” because she’s a pretty awesome and successful actress in her own right. Plus, she and Sterling K. Brown showed up to the Golden Globes in matching tuxedos, so…
We’re basically in love.
