  • This Is Us season 5 premieres Tuesday, October 27 at 9 p.m. ET.

  • Ahead of the first episode of the new season, Sterling K. Brown teased that there will be "brotherly love" happening in season 5.

  • At the end of season 4, Sterling and Justin Hartley's characters, Randall and Kevin, got into a huge spat, causing fans to worry about their relationship as brothers.

Ever since This Is Us season 4 wrapped up, hardcore fans (present party included) have been sleuthing around the internet trying to find hints about what might happen next. Lucky for fans, there is one recent particularly telling tweet from Sterling K. Brown, a.k.a. Randall, that may have given something major away about the premiere episode of season 5.

As fans remember, season 4 ended on a heartbreaking note when Randall and Kevin (Justin Hartley) got into an intense verbal fight over Rebecca (Mandy Moore) possibly participating in an Alzheimer's clinical trial. After the finale episode, Justin told Entertainment Weekly that it would likely be a while before his and Sterling's characters reconciled.

"It might take a bit. But they're brothers, this is not going to divide them until their deathbeds and they don't speak," Justin revealed to the outlet last March. "That’s how I took it to mean. But I think it's going to take a while."

That said, Sterling's tweet (above) seems to suggest Kevin and Randall will make up much sooner. On October 14, Sterling shared a teaser clip of season 5 and tweeted, "You guys ready for a nice easy return to The Pearson clan? Ready for some 'brotherly love?' Then I think you may be ready for season 5 of #ThisIsUs. See you in a couple of weeks."

In other words, Kevin and Randall might be expressing "brotherly love" as soon as the season 5 premiere, which, of course, would make all of us a lot happier. It's totally possible, considering we do see the two coming face to face in the official trailer of This Is Us season 5. But of course, we won't know for sure if Sterling was truly revealing a premiere clue, being sarcastic (which would be cruel!), or just trying to throw This Is Us Twitter off until the new season begins on Tuesday, October 27. After all, Sterling could've been referring to brothers Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) and Nicky (Griffin Dunne) ... you just never know!

Either way, we're really hoping Kevin and Randall will resolve their differences. With Rebecca's mild cognitive impairment diagnosis, our dreams of Sophie and Kevin getting back together quickly dissipating now that Madison is pregnant, and Toby and Kate dealing with struggles in their marriage, our hearts can't take anymore ache. But then again ... it's This Is Us, so we should be used to it by now.
