Stella McCartney and Taylor Swift Are Collaborating on a Collection
To support the release of her new album “Lover,” out August 23, Taylor Swift announced that she's collaborating with British fashion designer Stella McCartney on a new collection.
“She’s been a friend for a really long time, and also just a woman I respect so much,” Swift said of McCartney during an Instagram Live on Thursday. The collection will be inspired by the songs on the album, and if Swift's Wango Tango performance was any indication, it'll be full of hippie dippie bops you'll be playing all summer.
Taylor also announced on the livestream that she will collaborate with @StellaMcCartney , the designer responsible for the sneakers used by her at the WangoTango!

“I respect what she creates, how she creates it," Swift said of McCartney on Instagram Live. "There’s so much whimsy and imagination and romance to the clothing that she designs, and I’ve worn a lot of her stuff recently.”
Though Swift has already dropped a line of Lover merchandise (timed perfectly to her album announcement) it's safe to assume that the Swift/McCartney collaboration will be more elevated and fashion forward.
McCartney, who started her collection in 2001, has dressed major celebrities and A-listers for years now including Beyonce, Kate Middleton, and Meghan Markle. In fashion sets she's known for her masterfully cut pant suits and chic gowns, as well as being an animal rights activist, champion for the environment, and trail-blazer on the sustainable clothing front.
