References to Giorgio de Chirico’s metaphysical painting “The Soothsayer’s Recompense” were matched with Palm Beach influences in Stella Jean’s collection. Palm tress, color-blocked inserts and suiting prints were juxtaposed on wide-legged pants matched with a wool bomber and a mannish striped shirt, while a blouse tucked into a coordinated plissé skirt was splashed with a geometric pattern in a cheerful color palette.
