Staying grounded and connected with Tania Brown

As part of Women's History Month, MAKERS collaborated with Be Bold for Change, a nonprofit organization that inspires and activates tomorrow's changemakers. The Be Bold Now + MAKERS event occurred on March 14th in London, UK. Women leaders who are actively shaping a more equitable future were interviewed.

In addition, MAKERS had the opportunity to meet with Yogi Tania Brown, who fell in love with mindful exercise at 13 after attending a class with her dad. A calm mind and the ability to stretch and relax while participating in a community inspired her to create Tania Brown Yoga. She offers a wide variety of yoga activities, including retreats, wilderness moments, community yoga, workshops, and more. Tania graduated from Amrita School of Yoga with 500 certified hours in traditional Hatha Yoga, focusing on posture (yoga poses) and pranayama (breathing exercises). Tania describes her teaching style as strong, soulful, and flowing yoga, with the alignment process based on the individual's needs. If you want to try yoga for the first time, she recommends taking a class with an experienced yoga teacher rather than learning through a gym.

The Be Bold Now + MAKERS event featured Tania leading the audience through a mindful moment to help them stay grounded and connected. She aims to make yoga open to everyone, regardless of fitness level, age, status, or body type. In her message, Tania stresses the importance of being bold while making the future of yoga accessible. "Be yourself. Nobody else is taking you. Remember where you come from; support your sisterhood."
