Stay in a Lunar-themed Airbnb for Only $11 to Celebrate the Moon Landing

In honor of the 50th anniversary of man landing on the moon, five hosts on Airbnb are offering their lunar-esque homes for only $11 per night.

Each of the homes, from Scotland to New Zealand, have a connection to the moon. And best of all, guests can get into the lunar spirit for only $11.

In New Zealand, there’s a home that was built to resemble the Apollo Lunar Module used when launching Apollo 11. The home is located in a dark sky zone and has a clear Perspex roof so visitors can see the stars from their bed. It’s the perfect destination for travelers who are all about the view. The $11 rate is available September 13-15 and 27-29, 2019.

There’s room for six guests in this architect’s cabin in the desert of Twentynine Palms, California. The well-designed cabin has one open-air bedroom so you can sleep under the stars in total comfort. It’s available August 9-11 and 16-18.

Those who look to space and think of what else could be out there will enjoy staying in this UFO-style home in Redberth, UK.The stark-white UFO comes with an arsenal of ‘80s video games so you can fully commit to a “Space Invaders” theme. The promotional price is available September 27-29 and October 4-6.

Six guests can retreat to Moon Camp in Joshua Tree, California. The home has a telescope and fire pit, perfect for spending the night stargazing. It’s available August 16-18 and September 6-8.

And on the Scottish coast, guests can camp out at in a luxury airship. The secluded aluminum pod has a charming glass-enclosed deck where guests can cuddle underneath a tartan blanket near the fireplace and look up at the stars.
