On the road between Yellowstone National Park and Utah's national parks, you'll find an incredible expanse of glittering turquoise water: Bear Lake. Spend the day on the water with motorboat or stand-up paddleboard rentals you can walk to. If you'd rather stay on land, you can relax with a book on aptly named "Ideal Beach" while the kids build sandcastles. Back at the resort, there's a swimming pool and indoor hot tub to go for a dip as well as basketball and pickleball courts.

In the evening, head into town for dinner and catch a show at the Western-themed Pickleville Playhouse Theatre. It's open seasonally and features musical comedies for the whole family.
