Imagine: You're finally on vacation, and you swear that you're actually going to kick back, relax, and avoid sweating the small stuff-but inevitably, your mind wanders and you can't help but wonder: "Did I leave the stove on?" The more you think about it, the more you start to panic, convincing yourself that your house is burning down right. this. very. minute.

Well, we just came across an easy solution that's guaranteed to put your mind at ease.

Lifehacker shared a travel hack that's perfect for people who get anxious about accidentally leaving something on at home, like an oven or a hair straightener, and it's such an easy task to add to your pre-vacation to-do list. Simply use your phone to take a photo of your stove dials (or whatever you're worried about leaving on) before you go, to prove to yourself that everything is off later on.

Doesn't that make you feel so better? You can use this trick in other areas of your house, too. Whether you're double checking that the garage door is closed, the thermostat is off, or front door isn't ajar, chances are you'll never feel stressed when away from home ever again.
