Jimmy Buffett's legacy will not be wastin' away.

Following the news of his death at age 76 on Friday, Sept. 1, the beloved "Margaritaville" singer is being remembered by stars and fans alike, who are vowing to pour out somethin' tall and strong for the late music icon.

Among them is Alan Jackson, who famously duetted "It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere" with the late Buffett.

Jackson, 64, honored his friend with lyrics from the song "Boats to Build," which the duo had previously covered together.

"Shores distant shores, There's where I'm headed for,I got the stars to guide my way, Sail into the light of day..." #BoatsToBuild," his message read.

Jackson added, "RIP my friend, @jimmybuffett," along with a throwback photo of the pair.

Country star Toby Keith also took to X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday to say, "The pirate has passed."

"RIP Jimmy Buffett," the country crooner wrote alongside a set of photos with Buffett, calling him a "tremendous influence on so many of us."

As Parade reported, Buffett's death was announced to his social media pages in the early morning hours on Saturday, where it was revealed that the soft rock legend "passed away peacefully" on Friday night.

Noting that he was "surrounded by his family, friends, music and dogs," the post continued with the words, "He lived his life like a song till the very last breath and will be missed beyond measure by so many."

Andy Cohen also paid tribute to Buffett, dubbing him the "King of cool" in a tweet on Saturday morning. "Paradise was wherever Jimmy Buffett was," the Bravo personality added.

Chris Harrison chimed in with a comment on Buffett's Instagram page that called him an "unbelievable talent."

"Nobody connected with his people like he did. A massive hole in humanity has been left by his loss. God’s speed Jimmy and thank you for all the tales."

Another tribute came from Ryann Redmond, a cast member from the Broadway musical based on Buffett's music, Escape to Margaritaville.

Calling Buffett the "gentlest soul with the ability to bring the motley-est of crews together," Redmond wrote in part to the legendary musician, "you, Jimmy, walked through this life welcoming everyone you met into your universe. And good God almighty are we the lucky ones."

"I know there’s a heaven because that’s the only place you could be now," Redmond added. "Rest easy, sweet man. You deserve it 💕."
